          The paper argues that the methodological line of exaggerating the role of ethnicity in the historical processes of the 1990's can be overcome through the concept of local civilizations. An original concept of informational-communicative local Caucasus civilization is proposed.

Dobaev I.P. (Rostov-on-Don). Political Processes in the Islamic Movement on the North Caucasus
          This article gives broaden characteristic of the Islamic movement on the North Caucasus. The author underlines the reasons of creation and development of Salafy groups in the region; and also the reasons of politicization and radicalization of Salafy groups. The article highlights new tendencies in the development of the extreme forms of radical Salafizm - religion-political extremism and terrorism, under the coverage of peaceful Islam. The author proposes several measures to block these dangerous tendencies, among them - creation of a Russian Muslim Educational System.

          The article is devoted to the analysis of the basic historical and social aspects of development of extreme tourism in Russia. The concept of extreme tourism is specitied. Pastukyan E.V. (Rostov-on-Don). The Criteria of Distinguishing the Functional-Semantic Field of Coordination
          The article is devoted to the criteria of distinguishing the functional-semantic field of coordination in English and Russian. The existence of the functional-semantic category in the base of the field, some semantic signs making the dominant of the field, the common syntactical function of the coordinative constructions, which are formally alike and belong to different language levels, make it possible to consider the unity of coordinative constructions to build a functional-semantic field.

Gyurdzhan N.S. (Pyatigorsk). The Typological Linguistic and Conversational Markers of Cognitive Conflict in English and Russian Languages
          This article deals with the analysis of the typological linguistic and conversational markers of cognitive conflict as a result of discordance of cognitive programs of communicants in English and Russian communicative cultures. The conversational and linguistic manifestations of cognitive conflict are presented by the author on the propositional, illocutionary, argumentative, interpersonal and discursive levels of two conversational cultures with their own lexical, syntactic and contextual characteristics.

          A unique character of modern specialist's language identity as well as the particularities of realized professional communication convert bilingual thesaurus into the basis for creation of lexicographic product that would describe bilingual archaeological lexis. Thus, a dictionary based on principals of interlingual associative-semantic correlations in the frames of the professional thesaurus would represent an absolutely new type of a lexicographic product.

Kotova N.S. (Rostov-on-Don). An Ambivalent Language Person in the Aspect of Lexical Registers Changing
          The article deals with two aspects of the all-language systematic character of the register of an ambivalent language person: 1) the ability of the corresponding language and speech units (words) to represent one or another register and 2) corelationship of lexical register with the same essence, which is found in other subsystems. Both aspects of the fiction interpretation of personal ambivalence are examined on the classical material and on the modern texts.

          Orthodox sermon is missionary in the end of the 20th and the beginning of the 21th. Preachers find new words for intensification of social consciousness. For a period of centuries the field of basic hyperonyms GOD and DEVIL has been increasing by broadening of a content aspect of the concept. We applied to the concept of sin, having defined it as the secondary hyperonym. The latter goes back to the basic hyperonym devil according to its meaning.

The cultural and linguistic status of superstitions is concluded based on the types of cultural spheres where superstitions reveal themselves, and on the excerpts of fiction as the field richest in senses.

          The author depicts the actual problem in Arts. The evolution of play beginning's idea is shown. The investigations of literature in different period (M.M. Bahtin, U.M. Lotman, B. Ahenbaum, U. Mann) is analyzed. The author offers to examine the play beginning at one and the same way: classical and non-classical. It helps us to give a new look on the main idea in literature.

Gribeschenko O.A. (Rostov-on-Don). Metaphorical Usage of the Verb Predicates in the Sentences with the Temporal Determinants
          The article is devoted to metaphorical usage of the verb predicates in the present tense in the sentences with the temporal determinants. The author concludes that being not the main part of the sentence the determinant still has an effect on the whole sentence. Moreover, it influences the semantics of the predicate stem when the verb transforms its tense. The connection between the main and the subordinate clause of the complex sentence is realized in the syntactical regime.

          This article is devoted to the description of phraseo-scheme with a base component, not interrogative adverb in the structural aspect. The syntactical model of every phraseo-scheme, its compulsory changed and unchanged components are analyzed. These components are characterized, from the point of view, of their part of speech belonging, discreteness or indiscreetness and lexico-grammatical and morphological variation. As a result, the integral and differential features of the plan of expression of this group are settled.

Nikiforova Zh.B. (Ulan-Ude). Specificity of the Formation of Verbs from Figurative Stems in the Byurat and Turkish Languages
          The article is devoted to a consideration of figurative words in Turkish and Buryat languages. The language realizes linguistic adaptation of onomatopoeia complexes, puts in order phonetically, gives it the structure of the word.

Zhamyanova M.Z. (Elista). The Syntactical Function of Infinitive in Turkish and its Correspondence in the Mongolian Language
          The paper is devoted to investigation of the syntactic functions of the infinitive in Turkish and corresponding to it grammar constructions in the Mongolian language which are adduced for the comparison. Comparative analysis of the syntactic functions of Turkish infinitive and corresponding to it in appointed function verbal forms of Mongolian makes it clear, that there is no material similarity in this grammar category. At the same time as far as it in other Mongolian and Turkish languages, we can see a considerable resemblance in syntax in Turkish and modern Khalkha-Mongolian, which defines the character of their community.

This article defines the basic terminology of modern geo-politics. The matter is about the two geopolitical subjects – the Sea (Thalassocracy) and the Land (Tellurocracy). The other pare is synonymous to them, the West-East, where the West and the East are considered not just as geographical notions, but as the civilization blocks. The West is, according to the doctrine of geopoliticians, equal to the Sea. The East (Orient) is equal to the Land. Also author reviews the struggle between Thalassocracy and Tellurocracy during the human history and, especially, in 20th century.

It is inferred that the external and internal factors, which interact closely with each other, influence the core intensively during its formation. They can cause changes in ethnos cultural patterns and they define rates of the changes forming the core of Adyghe culture.

Category of predication in the Bashkir language is considered. The consistent comparison of the analogous language units of the Bashkir language and cognate Turkic languages is performed out. The author offers the next classification of the types of predication: a) morphemic; b) morphemic-syntactic; c) syntactic. Based on certain examples in the Bashkir language is arrived at the conclusion the category of predication is widely represented in literature and spoken language.

The structure and semantics of the derivational base of English adjectives are considered. It is shown that adjectives in the English language are formed from stems of various parts of speech and stems of word groups as well. The research has shown that the greatest number of English adjectives is built on noun stems, abstract in semantics.
